Cat is a graduate counseling internship student working toward a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and licensure as a Professional Counselor in Colorado. She holds a Master's in Education from Colorado State University, having taught in both outdoor education and public high schools. Cat also learns from hiking, gardening, reading, and being a mom.
In addition to the beautiful work of talk therapy, Cat comes to counseling ready to do art, writing, reading, movement, and meditation as she's curious about the ways each person can create their healing experience.
Cat is a neurodivergent, queer, cis-gender, white woman who practices earth-based spirituality. She wholeheartedly celebrates diversity and appreciates being with people who have a variety of cultural backgrounds, experiences, values, styles, ideas, and superpowers.
With lived experience in recovery from an eating disorder, Cat has led trauma-informed yoga for recovery groups and is inspired by the hope, courage, honesty, and humor with which people take on the extraordinary journey of recovery, healing, and growth.
My Therapeutic Lens
-
I believe that the greatest healing and growth comes from connection: with self, others, and our natural world. In counseling, I offer ways for people to make these connections, building self-knowledge and relationships.

-
I offer a variety of ways to explore in counseling: in addition to talking we may use art, writing, reading, meditation practices, and movement (indoors and outside), depending on the individual as all sessions are personalized and co-created.

-
My style of counseling is rooted in feminist theory: an inclusive, collaborative approach that focuses on amplifying one's voice, both in sessions and in the community, from a place of grounded self-knowledge and understanding of one's environment and culture.
